War for the Planet of the Apes Teaser Trailer

Teaser Trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes announces the title of the film and gives us a glimpse of a snow covered Caesar.

This will be the fourth film in the new Planet of the Apes films (including Tim Burton's). Here are the films and how much they have made at the box office

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - $208 Million
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - $176 Million
Planet of the Apes - $180 Million

The original Planet of the Apes (1968) made $32 Million at the box office over its lifetime, a very impressive feat.

There were also four more films in the original franchise:

Battle for the Planet of the Apes - 1973
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes - 1972
Escape from the Planet of the Apes - 1971
Beneath the Planet of the Apes - 1970

I guess this franchise follows the formula that if people keep running out to the theaters to see the films, they will keep making them. This is a unique franchise in that each sequel is bringing in more and more money for the Studio at the box office with the last film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes breaking the $200 Million mark. Definitely a tease here to get the fans excited, we are still 9 months away from the release.
