Trailer for Victor.
In the early 1960s, teenage Victor Torres and his family immigrate to Brooklyn, New York from their native Puerto Rico in search of a new life. The American dream rapidly eludes them as they are faced with a life of grinding poverty in their adoptive country. A new recruit in a local street gang, Victor embraces a lucrative new trade, dealing heroin, in an attempt to help his struggling family. Soon, Victor is himself enslaved by the drug, and his parents Lila and Manuel must decide whether to stand by and watch in agony or rise up and get help as their son descends into hopelessness and addiction. A local Faith-based recovery program just may be the last chance for hope to bring Victor back from the brink and ultimately inspire him to a life dedicated to fighting the ongoing war on drugs.
