Directed by Robert Sarkies and based on the book by Duncan Sarkies, Two Little Boys is an irreverent comedy about Nige (Bret McKenzie) and his recently estranged best mate Deano (Hamish Blake). The film follows Nige and Deano's riotous misadventures as they struggle with their imploding long-term friendship which has been put under pressure by an unfortunate incident involving a hot meat pie, a ginger cat and the untimely death of a Scandinavian soccer star.
Film was re-released by Vega Baby under the title Deano and Nige's Best Last Day Ever on September 8, 2015.
When Nige (McKenzie) accidentally runs over and kills an innocent hitchhiker, he only has one person he can turn to; his former best friend, Deano (Blake). Problem is, Deano is the last person in the world who you would want to rely on in a crisis. As the old saying goes -- Nothing comes between friends like a dead body.
