Rodolfo, a dentist with a love for leafy plants and soccer, is unsatisfied with his life and decides to leave his chain smoking second wife. Instead, he aims at tangling his way into getting back together with his ex-wife Gracelia and daughter Ana. Gracelia observes Rodolfo’s efforts coldly and without interest and instead involves herself with the doctor taking care of her dying aunt. At the same time, 16-year-old Ana is going through a teenage rebellion: cutting classes, seducing the house painter and watching reruns of a soap opera with her mom.
