Chris Hemsworth has to bulk up again for his role as the mighty god Thor. He has to follow a strict diet and workout 6-7 times a week, and eat around 6000 calories a day. Chris Hemsworth trainer Luke Zocchi revealed that Hemsworth put on 20 pounds of muscle for his role in the film taking his weight over 200 pound. Zocchi said they are trying to deliver Hemsworth's best physique yet for this film.

There are strong ties between Thor: Ragnarok and the Star Trek franchise. Four of the male cast have starred in at least one Star Trek movie:

Karl Urban (Skurge) plays Dr McCoy in Star Trek (2009)
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) was Lt George Kirk in Star Trek (2009)
Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr Strange) was in Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Idris Elba (Heimdall) was in Star Trek Beyond (2016)

This is not what I was expecting for our first look at the mighty Thor in Thor: Ragnarok. This is such a light hearted look at what is going to be an intense super hero film...Guardians of the Galaxy meets Gladiator meets He-Man.

The tone of the trailer looks to be straight out of James Gunn's playbook with the use of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant" as the song in the trailer and then the best part of the trailer when we are surprised to see Hulk make as he makes an appearance in the gladiator ring. And what does Thor do when he sees his formidable opponent...gets over joyed because "We know each other, he's a friend from work". Hilarious!

I loved this trailer! One thing Marvel is extremely good at doing for its films is producing some of the best trailers. They know how to blend the right amount of action with comedy. I look forar to seeing more in the next trailer including more of Hela (Cate Blanchett) and why that net is Thor's cryptonite.
