This Exquisite Forest Trailer

in This Exquisite Forest | Posted on May 10, 2013 Runtime: 1:15

Produced by Google and Tate Modern, This Exquisite Forest was inspired by the surrealist game “exquisite corpse” and its idea of collaborative creation. The project allows people to create short animations in their web browser and build on the animations of others, creating a series of branching narrative trees that grow bigger as more people contribute. Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin, the creators behind The Wilderness Downtown and The Johnny Cash Project, are masters of pushing browser functionality farther and finding the potential for collaboration to create groundbreaking interactive projects.

Thousands of people from all over the world, both well-known animators and gifted amateurs, have already contributed to This Exquisite Forest, reflecting the diversity of perspectives possible through web projects. Experience the epic scale of this project across multiple screens, and create your own exquisite branching animations.
