Trailer for the documentary The Wall.

One day in February 2007, a man from the Department of Homeland Security arrived at Gloria Garza's house in South Texas. He asked her to sign a letter granting permission to build a 25 foot fence on her property. She thought he was joking. Each of the residents of Granjeno soon found themselves holding similar letters. This small town of retirees thought they were battling to save their homes, but they were now in the middle of a national debate on immigration.

Filmed over 2 years on the border, The Wall is a documentary about the building of a fence along the Mexican border. Nobody could have imagined how many problems the fence would create, from an excess of dead bodies to an increase in smuggling costs. A border sheriff, a small town, and two illegal immigrants all become intertwined in the story of a new US policy to build a 25 foot fence.
