Delia, a young woman living in a slum in Caracas, Venezuela, struggles to rebuild a life for herself, her mother and her two teenage sons. They are survivors of the Vargas tragedy, a flood that killed tens of thousands of people, including Delia’s daughter, in the Vargas state of Venezuela in 1999. The sound of rumbling stones that preceded the tragedy is one of their most vivid and terrifying memories. Delia now faces a new crisis as her sons start to get involved in gangs and crime.
