Final Red Band trailer for The Predator showcases never before seen R-rated footage from the film.
A young boy (Jacob Tremblay) accidentally triggers an alert that brings the Predators back to Earth. The universe’s most lethal hunters have genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other alien species, and it's up to a team of ex-soldiers and a science teacher to stop them.
Even with earlier trailers, it was clear that Boyd Holbrook could be the primary protagonist amongst our collection of mercenaries. This "final" red band trailer makes that case pretty clear.
Just in case you aren't sure how this Predator installment fits within the franchise, it takes place some time after the original story.
I'm not sure why I like this so much. I've been burned out on this franchise, but The Predator looks to make up for some lost time. So much so that I might actually catch this installment in theaters. That is, if I can convince my lady to come.
That being said, the only thing that might hold this film back is the special effects. They look pretty good, but too much CG could become a distraction during a theatrical viewing. Let's hope that is not the case.
