Christine and Uwe are a young couple who lovingly cares for the little daughter Clara. They live in a brick house in a small town, he works as a police officer, partly night shift. She is at home. Together they make an Easter trip, he cooks dinner for all, they play together. The fragments of deceptive family idyll develop gradually to the disaster: Uwe is quickly angry, always wants to know exactly where Christine is.
