The Nutcracker and the Four Realms reunites many of the films stars back together again from previous projects. This will be the first collaboration between actress Helen Mirren and director Lasse Hallström since The Hundred-Foot Journey. It is the third time Helen Mirren and Keira Knightley have worked together, after Berlin, I Love You and Collateral Beauty. It will also mark the third time Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman have worked together. This will also be the third collaboration between Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen since Pride & Prejudice and Anna Karenina.

Another film in the line of Disney's plan to remake every classic tale into a live action film. But this time, it is not a classic Disney tale, but a classic Holiday play that just about everyone has seen.The Nutcracker is a staple of Christmas time and a tradition for many families to see every year.

So, it will be interesting to see where Disney takes this film and based on this quick teaser, it will be much darker than I was expecting...which could be a good thing. Since this is just a teaser, I look forward to seeing more in the next trailer and will wait to pass any judgement until then.
