Though it was Lasse Hallström who sat in the director's chair for principal photography, the helmer became unavailable when it was time for reshoots. Joe Johnston came in and took over the director's chair for 32 days of corrected or new footage. Hallström did take part in the post-production.

Though the film says "Four Realms", it's actually based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

If you were thinking that we just had a new trailer for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, that's because we did. But it was pretty lackluster. Disney must have felt the energy in the room, as they have quickly taken another try at impressing the audience with this trailer. So what are they trying differently?

Well, they make it a point to open with Morgan Freeman and his voiceover. Well played! The trailer then shifts gears to present something that is not only visually stunning, but more of a thriller of sorts. Interesting angle, and the footage does jump to some surprisingly dark footage.

It's still not blowing my hair back, but definite improvement over the last try.
