Theatrical trailer for The Nice Guys, starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. Extended preview shows never before seen footage from the film.
Director Shane Black's popularity seems to have risen at a rate similar to Robert Downey Jr.'s, with the pair making waves (and a comeback) with Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. So it is worth noting that The Nice Guys is the first film from Shane Black not featuring Robert Downey Jr.
Not only is it good to see Russell Crowe back to a buddy crime drama, but he brought Kim Basinger with him. The duo last worked together on L.A. Confidential, nearly twenty years ago.
While we still think the red band trailer is the best for The Nice Guys, this theatrical version is giving its best shot for the title. Before we get into specifics, if The Nice Guys is anything other than awesome, we can't help but be disappointed, as all of the trailers make this film look great.
While Ryan Gosling looks like he is having a ton of fun with this role, Russell Crowe also looks like he is enjoying himself trying to remain the hard-ass around Gosling's antics. While Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. made a great team for Shane Black, Crowe and Gosling are hoping to do one better. Any film that has a guy mouth "f*ck" after being forced into a pinky swear is alright with me.
