Theatrical Trailer for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, starring Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Stephanie Beatriz, Elizabeth Banks and Channing Tatum.

The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the Lego universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

This sequel was originally intended for 2018, but was pushed back. Production delays? Not exactly. The first push was to allow for the spin-off films to have a chance at the box office. That forced the sequel into 2018. And Warner Bros was hoping to dodge other same-genre films such as Despicable Me 3. Nobody likes sharing the family market. So, playing it safe, the film did a big jump to February.

The spin-offs weren't as well received as the original The Lego Movie, but let's see if we can find a return to form with a true sequel. The trailer itself looks pretty great, and one can't help but appreciate the mix tape being used for this preview.

The only question is whether there will be some surprise live action elements. You know, like the big Will Ferrell appearance in the last one.
