Having spent most of his life feeling outcast and alone, as a result of losing his mother at an early age to cancer, Alex discovers a journal she has left behind specifically for him. It takes years and an exceptionally good psychologist for him to muster up the courage to finally tackle the issue that has defined him: getting to know the mother he never had.
