Theatrical trailer for The Huntsman: Winter's War takes a more thrilling look at the film.
As two evil sisters prepare to conquer the land; two renegades - Eric the Huntsman - who previously aided Snow White in defeating Ravenna, and his forbidden lover, Sara set out to stop them.
When this sequel was originally confirmed, the first bit of information that turned heads was the fact that Kristen Stewart would not be returning. Oh the insanity! A sequel without the lead protagonist? Many begun to speculate it was because Universal dropped the actress due to her er, "indiscretions" with director Rupert Sanders. As we all now know, it's because this "sequel" is actually a prequel, which raises other questions...
Considering that Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman was the only interesting part of the first installment, I'm glad to see that this Winter's War trailer focuses not only backstory of him in his prime, but him during training in his youth. We love backstories!
That being said, I'm still scratching my head on how they are going to explain Ravenna didn't recognize him or acknowledge their history in the first installment. Hmmmmm.
Kudos to Universal for making this trailer by far more thrilling and action-packed than all the rest. While our anticipation of this film was waning, it definitely got a nice boost thanks to this preview.
