The House reunites several of the cast. This is the second time Amy Poehler and Jason Mantzoukas have worked together, first being Parks and Recreation. Poehler played Leslie Knope and Matzounkas played Dennis Feinstein. Will Ferrel and Amy Poehler are also reunited. They previously worked together in Blades of Glory, 10 years ag, and they also appeared together previously on Saturday Night Live.

The House was originally scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017 but was eventually moved back to its current release date of June 30, 2017.

This will be Brendan O'Brien's fourth time writing a script for a feature film. The other three were:
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, and Neighbors.

You knew we would eventually get a red band trailer for The House and here it is. It contains everything you would expect for an over the top comedy like this film: swearing, drugs, nudity, and even some intense gore (come on that scene at the end of the trailer where they chop off the guy's finger).

Will Ferrel and Amy Poehler look to be a perfect for these roles as wild crazy parents. I must admit though that Ferrel can be hit or miss for me...sometimes it feels like he takes the comedy too over the top, but there looks like a good balance in this film. I absolutely loved Poehler on Saturday Night Live, but her film career has also been hit or miss for me.

Of course it is hard to base a film completely on a trailer, lets just hope that they have not simply shown all the best parts and the rest of film drags on. For now this trailer has done its job and got me interested in seeing the film.
