The Circle is a gripping modern thriller, set in the not-too-distant future, starring Emma Watson (Harry Potter), Tom Hanks (Sully) and John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

When Mae (Emma Watson) is hired to work for the world’s largest and most powerful tech & social media company, she sees it as an opportunity of a lifetime. As she rises through the ranks, she is encouraged by the company’s founder, Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks), to engage in a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and ultimately her personal freedom. Her participation in the experiment, and every decision she makes begin to affect the lives and future of her friends, family and that of humanity.

The Circle will reunite Tom Hanks and Dave Eggers. It is the second time that Tom Hanks has a role in a film adaptation of a Dave Eggers book. The first was A Hologram for the King.

This will be the first time Tom Hanks and Bill Paxton have worked together since Apollo 13...22 years ago!

Emma Watson was not the first choice to play the lead, Alicia Vikander, was set to play the character but later was withdrawn since she signed on to be in Jason Bourne.

This film is perfect for this time where privacy has been a major topic, especially after the Edward Snowden controversy. He revealed that the NSA has been listening in on personal conversations of people in the public as part of National Security. And the debate is if this violation of privacy is justified?

Now, back to this movie which has thriller written all over it. The song in the trailer could not be more perfect to add to the mood. It is actually a cover of the hit song "Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates. The song was slowed down and sung by Helene Immel, better known as Lenachka, a German-born singer-songwriter. I also love how much we get to see of Kalden (John Boyega) in this trailer and the investigation into the dubious plot of the organization.

I was already wanting to see The Circle after the first trailer, but this new trailer has me even more excited to catch this gripping tale.
