In The Barrel, we experience village life on a lake in Venezuela’s largest oil field, through the eyes of 13-year-old Luis David. The houses are built on stilts to stand above the lake so transportation is very important. Luis needs to find a good barrel so he can float freely under the houses and explore, but most importantly, so he can participate in the barrel race.
