Set in the urban metropolis of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, SONGLAP tells the gritty, grim yet brash story of two brothers, Ad (Syafie Naswip) and Am (Shaheizy Sam), who eke out an existence as brokers and deliverymen in a baby trafficking network. Ad, the older brother, tries to squeeze out extra money to stash away supposedly to one day move on up to a better life, yet his penchant for gambling seems to prevent his cash reserve from growing. Am, the younger brother, dreams of winning a dance contest and garnering the $50,000 prize to escape his miserable life.
