Somm is the exhilarating story of four talented young sommeliers attempting to pass the prestigious Master Sommelier exam, a test with one of the lowest pass rates in the world. The exam covers literally anything having to do with the entire world of wine and that is just the beginning. Sommeliers also have to know everything there is to know about pairing wine with food, about spirits, cigars, and anything served in a restaurant. Access to the Court Of Master Sommeliers has always been strictly regulated and cameras have never been allowed anywhere near the exam....until now. Intrepid filmmaker Jason Wise takes us on a journey inside the process. Along the way, we get to know his four subjects almost as intimately as they know themselves.
