Forget swiping through Tinder profiles. Looks matter, of course, but our sense of smell actually tells us more about who we find attractive. In fact, if you pick a match based on scent, you have a better chance of finding the right partner than if you only go by appearance, social class, age, culture or even sex. Smell Dating is the first online dating service to match subscribers from all over the world on the basis of their body scent. Subscribers exchange worn T-shirts, with no additional information, then make a choice using no more than their noses and molecular intuition. Dating at a distance has never been so intimate. At IDFA 2016, DocLab is inviting you to test your own molecular intuition: there are ranges of samples to sniff, plus a database to discover the identity of the person behind the smell.
