Interview - Kim Cattrall

Though Sex and the City 2 is partially set in Abu Dhabi, the government did not allow filming there because they said the movie was too sexually explicit.

Kim Cattrall allowed herself to be seen in a wedding dress while going to the set, to prompt speculation in the press that her character, Samantha, was getting married.

Penelope Cruz shot her cameo in two hours. She was desperate to do it as she's a huge fan of the show.

Sarah-Jessica Parker says she has never read a single review of this movie.

Sex and the City was my guilty pleasure when it was on TV. I was too young to watch it when it first aired, so I came to it somewhat late, but when I did, I watched and re-watched them all on dvd as many times as I could. I was over the moon when a movie was announced, and even though I knew it wasn't great, and that the Sex and the City gang had spread the material very thinly to make a whole movie out of it, I still enjoyed the film for what it was.

I was less thrilled when a second film installment was announced. Here's my problem; when the show ended, as heartbreaking as it was, it ended at the right time and with all the characters in the right place. I love those women nearly as much as I love any of my girlfriends. They're irreverent, funny, caring and fierce. I want to be Charlotte. So, the movie comes out and I can go with that, but given that it was a struggle to make one movie decent enough, why do it all over again?

The answer, aside from the massive pay checks, can be seen in this trailer, I believe. Anyone who was a fan of the TV show can't help but be warmed upon seeing these four women back together again. We live for Samantha's outrageous behavior, Miranda's cool sass, Charlotte's sweetness and Carrie's totally insane clothing.

As bad as this movie is (and it is pretty terrible), the trailer ignites that flame inside of us once more, ensuring that we will watch, and we will enjoy it, because this is Sex and the City.
