Trailer for See No Evil.

An aging former film icon celebrates a quiet birthday. A brilliant scientist tries to pass on his wisdom to his young son. A worn down, fragile senior goes for an introspective walk, reflecting on the society he was raised in. Cheeta, Kanzi and Knuckles are apes long past their prime, settling into their respective sanctuaries. Drawing distinct and poetic parallels between man and ape, See No Evil softly lingers on these three subjects while blending in archival footage of days long gone. Observing these protagonists in moments of solitude allows access to their most intimate and reflexive states. Using the memories and reconstructions of Roger, a fourth ape with a particularly compassionate story, the film beautifully links together concepts of nostalgia and harmony to showcase connections between these animals and their human counterparts.
