Deliver Us from Evil is inspired by the life and experiences of Sergeant Ralph Sarchie, a family man and 16-year veteran of the NYPD who moonlighted as a demonologist, an explorer of the paranormal entities lingering in the darkest parts of the city.
In advance of the film’s release, a documentary-thriller is being commissioned to demonstrate the reality behind the picture. Cameras follow Sarchie to investigate the site of a purported paranormal infestation, interview NYPD cops who served with Sarchie, talk to an ex-prison warden who currently works as Sarchie’s partner, and reveal Sarchie’s private life through interviews with his mother, sister, and daughter.
