Sandy Wexler Trailer (2017)

Trailer for Netflix's Sandy Wexler.

Sandy Wexler (Adam Sandler) is a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, diligently representing a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, Courtney Clarke, a tremendously talented singer who he discovers at an amusement park. Over the course of a decade, the two of them play out a star-crossed love story.

Sandy Wexler is the third film out of four set to be released between Adam Sandler and Netflix. The first film The Ridiculous 6 broke Netflix's stream record. And this is despite receiving very unfavorable reviews. The Ridiculous 6 has a whopping ZERO rating and the second film, The Do-Over, came in with a little better 5 rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Sandy Wexler Trailer Screen Shot 1
The film is based on real-life talent manager, Sandy Wernick.

This is a bit of a shocker, but this film marks the 6th collaboration of Adam Sandler and Terry Crews.

I guess one thing is consistent with Adam Sandler, his movies get horrible ratings but people still love to watch them. And, Sandy Wexler looks to be no different. This film looks like it was shot on the cheap. There is very little production value here and the acting looks blah. Adam Sandler's voice felt over the top and like I was watching Happy Gilmore.

The one thing this film has going for itself is Adam Sandler's ability to bring in tons of other well known actors & comedians that help get his film's exposure. Other than that, this film looks to be a bore and although it will be on Netflix and I can watch in my living room, I will most likely not waste my time. Anyone else think I am wrong and can convince me to watch this?
