Red Band Trailer for Rough Night.

In Rough Night, an edgy R-rated comedy, five best friends from college (played by Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. Their hard partying takes a hilariously dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they're ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.

The film is directed by Lucia Aniello who is making her debut as a director for a feature film. She has previously directed several different TV show episodes. One TV series in particular is Broad City, where she directed 11 episodes. This show links quite a few of the cast of Rough Night...Lucia was a Producer on the show from 2015-2016 and two of the stars of Broad City, Ilana Glazer & Paul W. Downs, also star in Rough Night.

The cinematographer is Sean Porter, who also done the cinematography for films such as:

Green Room
20th Century Women
Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter
Eden

When this trailer started I was like here we go again, another bachelor/bachelorette party film. We just had Girls Trip teaser trailer come out a month ago. But, then this film takes a dark twist with the killing of the male stripper...I did not see that coming.

This is one of those films where if the people just called the cops it would be over, but thanks to drugs and over reacting they have found themselves in a sticky situation. Unlike Girls Trip, this film goes The Hangover route with out of this world craziness that you would only think can happen in a movie.

There is definitely a lot of cheesiness here, but it looks like there is some good comedic moments. I like these actresses and they look like they play off of each other nicely. Scarlett may be a bit of an outsider in this role, but she is beautiful to look at and hopefully will prove her comedic chops. All in all, it looks like a fun movie I may catch when looking for a good laugh.
