Theatrical Trailer for Robin Hood, starring Jamie Dornan, Taron Egerton, Ben Mendelsohn, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson.
Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.
This film would have happened sooner, if it wasn't for Taron Edgerton's involvement in the Kingsman franchise and the latest sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle. While most scheduling conflicts end with the actor being replaced, director Otto Bathurst really wanted Edgerton for the part.
If some of the castle sequences look oddly familiar, that could be because you watch HBO's Game of Thrones and recognize Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Much better! While the first trailer for Robin Hood had a made for TV feel -- especially the embarrassingly bad ending title card -- this new trailer actually feels like a high budget blockbuster. It even somewhat feels like your typical Guy Ritchie flair and, while that would sometimes be a great thing, his King Arthur didn't exactly hit the mark.
The action looks exceptional, leaving us with only one complaint... for now. Everything looks to clean. Based on the period, should much of the wardrobes and people have a more er, dusty feel to them? The film currently looks like a Vogue editorial of the Robin Hood era. If that was intentional, well done. But if not...
