Pharmaceutical sales rep, David Graham, takes advantage of an opportunity to win over a big new account located in the remote territory of Lone Pine, California. Securing this client would elevate him to TOP SALES REP of the year. The genesis for Road Reps begins with an idea for an all out business road trip and surf safari. David and his buddies journey up the California coast in a classic 1950 Ford Woodie. Along the way, David encounters his estranged wife, Jill. He becomes outraged when he learns that she has recently secured a sales rep position for his company's competitor—a situation made more unnerving when David learns that Jill is on her way to win the same big account in Lone Pine.
