Road Games Trailer

Trailer for Road Games, starring Andrew Simpson and Joséphine de la Baume.

On a sunny summer day in the French countryside, drifters Jack (Andrew Simpson) and Véronique (Joséphine de La Baume) hook up and hit the road together. But when they accept a ride from a local oddball (Frédéric Pierrot), the pair finds themselves thrown into a deadly game of cat and mouse in which nothing is what it seems. Bursting with nonstop twists and turns and an undercurrent of Hitchcockian malice, this riveting psychological thriller is a hell of a ride. Legendary cult actress Barbara Crampton co-stars.

Road Games makes it a point to have no opening credits, but then pulls a Marvel-ish stunt by having an extra scene after the end credits roll.

Having been screened at film festivals such as Frightfest, Road Games received somewhat mixed reviews that seem to match exactly what we see in the film's trailer. While the first two-thirds of Road Games is excellent with its build up of tension and suspense, the final third comes off more clumsy than thrilling. At least, that's the feedback so far and exactly what's suggested by the trailer.
