Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 Theatrical Trailer (2018)
Theatrical Trailer for the animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, starring John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Taraji P. Henson.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”
As crazy as this sounds, this is the first full-length CG feature animation sequel to ever be produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Yes, yes, we know this film gets confused as Pixar. Constantly.
And, speaking of cool "never befores" from Disney, this is the first film to feature the Disney princesses outside of their original films. The trailer suggests that they will be more important than a simple cameo as well.
The first Wreck it Ralph surprised me by how much I liked it. And this sequel at least looks to at least be pushing the envelope in regards to, well, everything. Showing a ton of confidence, the studio also has no issue showcasing just how big they've become. Besides seeing Disney franchises on display in the "internet" world, we get a big re-introduction to all of the princesses.
And kudos for the musical selection as well.
