Helen Kingford, the resident psychologist at a hospital for the criminally insane is working her last night on a research program when she falls unconscious. Kingford wakes to find herself alone and tied up in the morgue with the full horror of her situation emerging as she learns all of the insane patients have escaped their prison cells.
Fearing for her life and desperately seeking safety, Kingford aligns herself with the dangerous patient Lara Visser. Only through escape from the hospital, will Kingford come to understand the unpredictably violent nature of her ally and the deadly sacrifices she must make to survive.
