Peter Rabiit is Written and Directed by Will Gluck who also was at the helm for Easy A, Friends with Benefits and Annie (remake).

This will be the first live action and animated hybrid film for Sony Pictures Animation which will be rated G by the MPAA. It will also be Sony Animation's fifth live action/CGI hybrid film. The other four are: The Smurfs, its sequel The Smurfs 2, and Goosebumps.

James Corden must love doing voice overs because this is his sixth animated film. The other five animated films are: The Gruffalo, Planet 51, The Gruffalo's Child, Trolls, and The Emoji Movie. And this will be James Corden's second Sony Animation film, after The Emoji Movie.

It is good that we finally get a proper look at this film. The first trailer was much more like a teaser and did not give us too much to get a good grasp of the film. We get introduced to all the characters and get to see a lot of the comedy we hope to see in a family film like this.

Peter Rabbit looks like a cute fun film that can appeal to slightly older children with most of the film being live action, but it also has a heart warming story that will not be too scary for younger children. The film feels like a cross between Gnomeo & Juliet & Alvin and the Chipmunks.

There looks to be no surprises with Peter Rabbit, at first the human hates the animals, then the animals try to take back their land, and finally human falls in love with animals. If you have children, then this film will be a great choice for your family come February 2018.
