Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
The initial hope by Paramount was to get this remake released exactly thirty years after the original. Unfortunately the weekend didn't match up perfectly, so the remake will arrive 2 days before the three-decade anniversary.
Stephen King claims that the original film was the only adaptation of his that legitimitately scared him. Can the remake accomplish the same.
Though I'm not exactly a fan of horror films, unless there is a dash of comedy, this Pet Sematary adaptation looks pretty thrilling! To be honest, I can't remember the exact story. There is one primary antagonist spirit, correct? And because of that all other shit hits fan?
Ehh, not sure. But thinking this may be worth a theatrical visit to find out.
