Twenty-three year old Isabelle Martin is at a crossroads. Teaching at a progressive K-12 prep school, she enjoys interacting with kids, but the role's clearly not her calling. Then there’s Jay, her college sweetheart, who’s become so career-focused that he's neglecting their relationship at the expense of an assumed shared future. Feeling more adrift than grown-up, Isabelle discovers camaraderie with precocious ninth-grader Sam, whose acquaintance just may be her catalyst for change.
