In the ’90s, British rock band Blur dominated the charts, gained fame for their part in the creation of Britpop and were notorious for their rivalry with Oasis. But in age-old rock band style, tensions among band members rose, and in 2003, after one member left, the band went on hiatus. In 2009, to the surprise of many, Blur announced they would reunite and go on tour. Filmmakers Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Shut Up and Play the Hits) gained full access to the band in the lead-up to the reunion, and take us into the room with four friends who went through highs and lows trying to rebuild their relationships and come together again musically. In this very beautiful portrait, we’re taken back through the history of the band in their own words, all the way to their triumphant return.
