Mune is a faun who lives in a faraway world where the Guardians of the Sun and Moon hold the essential jobs of ensuring the balance of day and night. Against all odds and to the consternation of some of the elders, Mune is selected as Guardian of the Moon, despite having had no training or experience in order to take on this role. When he mistakenly causes the moon to move away from the land of the dark and titan Necross emerges to steal the sun for himself, Mune is disgraced. Before long, he and his friends travel to the worlds of nightmares and dreams in order to save the moon and sun before they disappear forever.
