The mothers’ clear calm voices emerge through differences of cultural and social origins, political clashes and interests, to evoke the same everyday moments, the same inconsolable grief for their sons, whether soldiers in Palestine or in Israel. Above all, these mothers unite in their desperate cry for peace and dialogue, and an end to the rage and violence that are exterminating both peoples.
Archive and unreleased video footage also serve as a reminder of the terrible reality of this war. Indeed, the death count reported each day has unfortunately become almost routine.
