In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA's most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.
Mile 22 will be the fourth time actor Mark Whalberg and Peter Berg have worked together.The other three films were: Patriots Day, Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon
This will be Ronda Rousey's 6th motion picture.
Mile 22 is written by Lea Carpenter and Graham Roland, which is the first time for both that they have a written a script for a feature film.
Just like you expect in a Peter Berg film, there looks to be plenty of action...and Mark Wahlberg is in the film. Mark and Peter have become quite the duo and have a great working relationship. Plus they love to tell real world heroic stories through dramatic action.
Mile 22 has a great ensemble cast of Mark Wahlberg, Lauren Cohan, Iko Uwais, Ronda Rousey and John Malkovich. I am extremely excited to see what Iko and Ronda bring to this action packed film. Then you throw in John Malkovich for good measure and you have me sold.
