Theatrical trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure, starring Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
With this franchise and American Assassin, Dylan O'Brien has become somewhat of an action star. So much so that the actor has suffered numerous injuries performing stunts, including a stunt that left the actor hospitalized. His injury was so bad that production was forced to be halted.
I've read all the Maze Runner books and am frankly not a fan. The story doesn't exactly make sense, and the ending is such a copout. I even gave the prequel book a chance, and it was more puffery.
Since films usually don't live up to their source material, I'm not sure how The Death Cure can improve upon the story. The film's latest trailer, on the other hand, does look pretty awesome. I still just have a bad taste remaining in my mouth left over from the books.
So count me out.
On that note, can we please get an adaptation -- or HBO series -- of Red Rising? Now that would be amazing.
