In this strange and beautiful world, professional skateboarders live like knights in baroque castles, the half-pipe is their jousting arena and concrete streets are the forum for their Machiavellian tricks. Walter Rhum's dreams come true when the 17 year-old skateboarder is selected to ride professionally for Machotaildrop, the world's most prestigious skateboard company. Plucked from his banal life, Walter is transported to the lavish estate of Machotaildrop's headquarters, lorded over by a quirky and delusional Baron. As the Baron grooms young Walter to dethrone top rider Blair, Walter's dream devolves into nightmare, as he uncovers the underbelly of the Baron's skateboard manufacturing operation, and the evil nature of the Baron's appropriation of the skater lifestyle.
