The mid-1950s though the 1960s was an epic era in Newport Beach, California for surfboard riding. Living It Forever chronicles the carefree days of those early surfers who lived the dream. The viewers meet Newport’s pioneer surf personalities who, fifty years ago, shared a passion for the sport and the lifestyle despite being ridiculed by society. A look is taken at their culture and the implications it had on what emerged as a multi-billion-dollar industry.

The film begins with a historic overview of the origins of Newport Beach. Subjects touched on include: the surfboard revolution, fashion, High School, Balweek, and the camaraderie. Archival footage features the surfers as teenagers. The same surfers, in modern day interviews, reflect on their extraordinary experience.
