Asia (Asia Crippa), an abandoned two-year-old girl, is found playing alone in a park by Patty (Patrizia Gerardi), a childless circus woman living with her husband Walter in a dreary trailer park on the outskirts of Rome. In the child's pocket is a note, saying her mother will return to pick her up when she's sorted out her current troubles.
