An escaped prisoner sneaks into a small German village. The man gets food with the help of a teenage girl in the village and sets up escape plan. The girl wants to go with him. The two starts journey to Marseille in South France. In the process, they get help of a French woman, get threatened, and undergo all sorts of hardships.
