A brutal crime from the past still holds its grip upon victim and perpetrator alike in this stark thriller. Sung-gong (Yeon-woo Nam) is first seen being taunted and tossed into the adjoining room by fellow high-school students. But this is no mere display of school bullying; in the next room lies Jang-mi (Jo-a Yang), drugged unconscious and raped by each boy in turn. Sung-gong has refused to participate, but his cohorts are not having that as an option. Ten years later Sung-gong insists to himself that he did nothing more wrong that day then stay silent. Whether because of that silence or a greater complicity he refuses to acknowledge, his guilt weighs heavily enough upon him that a chance meeting with street missionaries sends him scurrying to their church, hoping for some consolation. There he reencounters Jang-mi, and painfully becomes aware that the cruel harm done to her is a debt still needing to be paid.
