Journey of the Heart Trailer (2009)
Should a still grieving heart risk all for a new and dangerous love affair?
Fifty year old Helen Chamberlain (Leona Hermann) farewells her much loved husband, David Chamberlain (Patrick Frost) as a taxi whisks him to his plane and to a conference in Hawaii. But as Helen reaches St Catherine’s Catholic school on her first day back as Principal, her life is shattered: David has been killed in a car accident. Near overwhelmed with grief, Helen gives permission for David’s organs to be removed.
August, the month of what would have been Helen’s longed for European Grand tour with David. Helen has totally immersed herself in work. Yet who gave her this mystery gift that is causing her such a quandary on her desk. Helen tells Jenny Falcone (Tamara Lee), the attractive boarding house supervisor, that she will collect young Skye Western (Whitney Boyd) from her class. But after making a phone call regarding the donor of David’s heart, Helen becomes so mesmerized with Skye’s new teacher, Brett Sanders (Adam Willson), a young Adonis, that Jenny has to seek her out, interrupting Helen’s eavesdropping on Brett’s lecture.
As Helen reaches her office with Jenny and Skye, she glimpses under her in-basket (unseen by the others), an internal mail envelope with its sketched promise of romance to come. Considerably jarred, Helen suspends Skye for Skye’s own liaison with an eighteen-year old punk, despite Jenny’s protest at this being too harsh. But is this really a reaction to her own dilemma? For when Helen, alone at last, opens the envelope, she finds inside an offer of romance that very night. Even if it is the handsome Brett, will Helen risk a reply into the staffroom pigeonholes? And is Helen truly ready for this new and perilous course with all its consequence?
