Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bournefranchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.

For Jason Bourne, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.

Believe it or not, this will be Tommy Lee Jones' third action movie coming out in 2016. The first movie will be Mechanic: Resurrection and the second movie will be Criminal.

This will be the first Bourne film where Tony Gilroy isn't involved in and won't be writing the script.

Matt Damon said he would only return to the Bourne franchise to reprise his role as Jason Bourne if Paul Greengrass would return as the Director...and Matt got his wish.

I do like seeing Matt Damon back as Jason Bourne. While I think Jeremy Renner held his own, this is still Matt Damon's franchise.

I also like how they are taking Bourne to Las Vegas. There are some intense action sequences and a ton of collateral damage. That must have been a blast to film right in the heart of Las Vegas.

It will be interesting to see where they take the story. We all know that the action will be there, but the main question will be is if there will be some substance too.
