Isle of Dogs tells the story of Atari Kobyashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

It is no secret who is Wes Anderson's favorite actor to work with...this will be his eighth time working with Bill Murray.

Scarlett Johansson has taken quite the liking to do ing voice-over work. Isle of Dogs will be her  sixth voice-only role in the last six years. Her (2013), Deep Down (2014), Assassin Banana (2015), The Jungle Book, and Sing (2016) were the previous five.

As soon as some people see Wes Anderson's name attached to a Write and Direct a film, they will get excited. He brings a uniqueness and originality to today's films that is hard to find. Can Wes Anderson ever run out of ideas? Lets not hope so.

It is this reputation that has allowed to put together an ensemble cast that can even take on the entire Marvel Universe. The credits list goes on and on...it starts with Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Liev Schreiber, and ends with Yoko Ono (married to The Beatles great John Lennon).

It is great to see Anderson jump back into stop-motion like he did with Fantastic Mr. Fox and seems to take it to the next level. All in all this film looks great...the animation is beautiful and the story is unique with amazing actors playing the characters. And the Oscar for "Best Animated Feature Film goes to..."
