Trailer for the documentary In the Cobbler's Shoes.

As patrons stream in and out of Tony’s shoe repair shop, it’s Misak Pirinjian who greets them. Misak long ago chose to take up the trade of his father (he wasn’t Tony either) out of love for the work and the community he serves. The Mill Valley residents who rely on him to fix their worn-out but beloved shoes may not know his story, but they know his craftsman’s skills will make them look and feel good. Misak’s customers take him into their lives with every pair of shoes they bring in and every story the shoes carry. He could have followed a very different path, especially as a graduate of the University of San Francisco. But he chose this small cobbler’s shop, constant contact with people and the satisfaction he gains from his work’s tangible results. He may take on more than time allows, but his loyal community keeps coming back.
