Inspired by the true story of a terrorist attack that took place in Morocco in 2003, Horses of God chillingly depicts how a notorious Casablanca slum becomes a breeding ground for terrorism. The narrative follows two brothers who live in Sidi Moumen over the course of a decade. In childhood, they seek out adventures and excitement, and have all the dreams for the future that come with youth, but ultimately, deprivation, machismo, wounded pride and powerlessness engender fanaticism.
